EMAS Easter Study Tour: Argyll, Mull and Iona

EMAS Easter Study Tour: Argyll, Mull and Iona
13 – 20 April 2017
Guide David Beard MA, FSA, FSA Scot
The 2017 EMAS Easter study tour will examine the archaeology of Argyll and Bute, the island of Mull and the extremely important monastic site on the Island of Iona.
We will be based in Oban, which is situated on Oban Bay and home to one of the oldest single malt distilleries in Scotland. Nearby is Kilmartin Glen, which has one of the most important concentrations of Neolithic and Bronze Age remains in Scotland, while the broch, cairns and standing stones near An Sean Chaisteal are just one of the many fascinating sites on Mull.

The Archaeology of Anglesey

The Archaeology of Anglesey
1 to 5 November 2016

Following the success of the EMAS study tour "Castles in North Wales", we have decided to offer a new study tour in November.

Full details will be available shortly, but a full itinerary is already on the web.

Places will be limited, as we will need a small coach for access to some of the sites, so if you are interested, contact EMAS as soon as possible.
